We’re helping deliver the transport network for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games—shaping a safe, efficient and connected network for Queensland.
The Games Operational Planning team is responsible for coordinating, planning and delivering the Games Route Network (GRN) across all Queensland host regions. The GRN will provide reliable travel times for athletes, officials, the Games family and media, while also keeping the city moving. This involves managing complex interdependencies, including background traffic, on-road events, venues and live sites, as well as spectator and workforce transport — maximising both operational performance and lasting legacy outcomes.
About the role:
*This opportunity is temporary full-time until 30 June 2029* The purpose of the Principal Program Advisor is to develop and implement Games Route Plans and coordinated transport operations to support the Games.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead development of Games Route Plans, identifying network priorities and operational needs to balance Games requirements with business-as-usual travel.
• Apply project management expertise to manage stakeholders, contractors, scope, budget and milestones.
• Provide strategic advice on project risks, issues and opportunities to support delivery outcomes.
