Membership is open to anybody with an interest, qualifications, or experience in the transport industry.

There are a range of membership types to suit levels of experience and qualifications, including for students and retired practitioners. Organisational subscriptions are also available for Government Subscribers and Corporate Subscribers.

The grades of Individual Membership each have varying requirements for interest or experience. The grades include
