Taylor Gouge | Senior Principal Engineer | WSP
Taylor Gouge is a Senior Principal Transport Engineer within the WSP Planning & Mobility team with over 18 years of international experience delivering complex, multi-modal transport solutions across Australia and the United States. Taylor specialises in sustainable transport planning, complete street design, bus rapid transit, and zero-emission bus transition planning. Prior to relocating to Australia in 2016, Taylor was the Deputy Director for Transit Development at the New York City Department of Transportation, where she was responsible for the planning, design, and delivery of Better Buses and Street Improvement projects.
Jessica Athayde | Manager - Transport Planning | Sydney Metro | Transport for NSW
Jessica is a transport planner and civil engineer with 8 years experience in the transport infrastructure across the public and private sector. Jessica has worked at Sydney Metro for 3 years on the Metro West project and City & South West.
She is committed to driving the shift to sustainable public and active transport through vision-led policy, strategy and infrastructure delivery to help shape safer and connected cities.
Jessica is a keen and passionate advocate for active transport. A keen cyclist, she is eager to draw lessons from Copenhagen and Netherlands and excited to shape the future of public and active transport in Sydney.
Lise Chesnais | Associate Technical Director | Arcadis
Lise is passionate about delivering transport strategies that support great places. To this end, she seeks to leverage her international experience and share global best practice in the Australian context. Lise is recognised as a great storyteller; and she strives to deliver interactive and engaging presentations.
Lise has been a specialist in cycling and pedestrian planning for 14 years. She is a Principal Transport Planner at Arcadis; where she leads the delivery of integrated transport planning projects.
Marc Lane | Director of Place Strategy | Vivendi Consulting
Marc is a strategic and systems thinker. He is qualified and has practiced in architecture, urban design and law. Marc has worked in London, Dubai and Sydney.
Marc’s policy work includes A City for All Londoners (2016), NSW Movement and Place Framework and the NSW Design and Place State Environmental Planning Policy, he has co-authored guidance including the Checklist for Walkable Density for Committee for Sydney, developed the rates and categorisation of contexts for Chapter 8 (Parking) of TfNSW’s Guide to Transport Impact Analysis (2024) and the land use parameters for the NSW Government’s flagship land use analysis tool, LandIQ.
He has a long interest in data and evidence-driven design, leading the development of the NSW Built Environment Indicators and co-authored ATAP’s Valuing Place (in Transport Projects), and currently works with Vivendi Consulting, consulting on urban projects and using complex AI-driven models to predict direct demand for walking, cycling and other modes.
Ben Taylor | Senior Associate | SGS Economics And Planning
Ben is a transport and urban planner with experience in consulting for local and state government and the private sector.
Ben has worked on many city-shaping transport projects through Australia and has a keen interest in how infrastructure can shape the urban form and function of cities to create connections and spaces for people. He has experience in transport planning and policy advice for state and local government agencies that has considered accessibility and place outcomes for a variety of transport users.
Ben has recently led work for the Office of the 24-Hour Commissioner on understanding the night time workforce across NSW and the level of service provision experienced by these members of the community.
