Reflecting on the 2025 National Transport Conference: Movement for Thriving Communities

In case you missed it, the 2025 National Transport Conference wrapped up after three incredible days of learning, networking, and collaboration at the Adelaide Convention Centre earlier this month.

Under the theme Movement for Thriving Communities, the conference welcomed over 500 delegates from across Australia and around the world, highlighting the global relevance of the issues explored within the program. More than 150 speakers shared insights from cutting-edge projects, policy frameworks, and real-world case studies.

Each day kicked off with coffee and even a light breakfast thanks to our sponsors, followed by keynote presentations from Giles Perkins, Lucy Saunders, Julie Ballyntine, and Skye Duncan, setting the tone for discussions on the future of mobility and sustainable growth. Panels, workshops, and abstract presentations explored topics ranging from network planning and equity in transport to funding challenges, ensuring there was something for every attendee.

Delegates also engaged in ConferencePlus+ tours and networking events, sparking new collaborations and sharing practical solutions to the industry’s pressing challenges. All sessions were buzzing with ideas and debate, reflecting a transport community eager to innovate and work together.
