About this event
Transport Professionals Association in partnership with City of Melbourne, are pleased to present a special seminar and panel discussion featuring Lucy Saunders, Founder of Healthy Streets, following her keynote address at the TPA National Conference in Adelaide and subsequent tour across Australia.
Learn about Lucy’s visionary Healthy Streets Framework which is influencing the health and wellbeing of communities across Australia and the world. Lucy will share stories from case studies and dive deep into the opportunities and challenges from the worlds of streets, transport and placemaking.
Building on Lucy’s seminar, we’ll open to a panel discussion with guest speakers:
- Raelene Stratton, Associate Director, Department of Transport and Planning
- Bënish Chaudhry, Manager Transport Strategy, Loddon Mallee and Hume, Department of Transport and Planning
- Jo Cannington, Director of City Strategy, City of Melbourne
This discussion is where leading strategic thinkers from City of Melbourne and the Department of Transport and Planning discuss how strategic transport planning and the development of community visions contribute to achieving healthy streets for the community.
This event is designed for council decision makers and change agents who seek to get more value from their streets and deliver healthier, happier and more resilient communities. Councillors, Senior Executives and Managers are encouraged to come along and get involved in the discussion, unpacking how their communities can benefit from Healthy Streets approaches and thinking.
Registrations close 10am, Thursday 11 September.
For more information please contact the team at TPA.
