Our Events
At the heart of Transport Professionals Association’s mission is the power of connection, learning and collaboration.
Our events bring together practitioners, researchers, policymakers and industry leaders to share knowledge, tackle emerging challenges and accelerate innovation in transport.
Whether it’s a technical webinar, networking opportunity, deep-dive workshop, or our flagship conference, each event is designed to advance professional development, strengthen relationships, and inspire better transport outcomes for communities.
Technical Events
We grow the capability of the transport industry through sharing and developing knowledge and experience.
Technical Events are a key part of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), designed to enhance the skills, capabilities, and knowledge of professionals across all areas of the transport industry. These events showcase the latest academic and industry research, best practice case studies, technological innovations, standards, policies, programs, projects, and practical insights from across the sector.
Technical events are divided into two categories:
Standard Technical Events
These sessions provide opportunities for professionals and practitioners to share their expertise and experiences across a broad range of transport fields and disciplines. Typically lasting 1 to 1.5 hours, they may be delivered as webinars, in-person sessions, or hybrid events.
Many sessions attract self allocated CPD points that can be applied to various professional accreditation schemes.
-
Webinars are free for Members and Subscribers, ensuring equitable access to quality CPD opportunities.
-
In-person events may include a small registration fee to help cover costs and encourage attendance commitment, often complemented by informal networking opportunities.
Non-Standard CPD Events
These events explore technical topics in greater depth or breadth through longer or more interactive formats. Usually lasting more than 1.5 hours, they can include site visits, study tours, workshops, forums, or training sessions—offering participants the chance to engage with complex transport issues in more detail. Non-Standard CPD Events may be held online or in person and usually include a registration fee, with discounted rates available for Members and Subscribers.
