Membership Information for Committees
Membership
Membership is at the heart of TPA. Our members are transport professionals from across Australia who come together to learn, connect, share knowledge and advance the profession.
Branch Committees and Networks play an important role in creating a positive member experience by delivering valuable events, fostering connections, welcoming new members and encouraging ongoing engagement with TPA.
The National Office manages membership administration, applications and member records, while working closely with Branch Committees and Networks to support membership growth and engagement.

Membership Applications
Membership applications are managed by the National Office in accordance with TPA's Membership Policy and membership criteria.
The National Office assesses applications, manages member records and responds to membership enquiries to ensure a consistent experience for both new and existing members.
If an application requires additional information or clarification, the National Office may occasionally seek input from Branch Committees or Networks.
Supporting Membership Growth and Engagement
Branch Committees and Networks play an important role in attracting, engaging and retaining members by:
- Delivering high-quality events and networking opportunities.
- Welcoming and connecting new members within their local or professional community.
- Promoting the value of TPA membership to attendees, colleagues and industry contacts.
- Encouraging participation in TPA activities, committees and events.
- Identifying opportunities to engage with potential new members.
Positive local and professional community experiences are one of the strongest drivers of long-term member engagement.
Fellow Membership
Fellowship is TPA's highest grade of membership and recognises significant professional achievement and contribution to the transport profession.
Each year, Branch Committees and Networks are invited to consider and nominate suitable candidates for Fellowship. Nominations are assessed through TPA's formal review process, with successful candidates recognised at the Annual General Meeting.
If you would like to nominate a member for Fellowship, please contact the National Office for information on the eligibility criteria and nomination process.
Membership Reporting
The National Office provides membership reporting to help Branch Committees and Networks better understand and engage with their members.
Reporting may include information such as:
- Total membership numbers.
- Membership growth and trends.
- Membership categories and grades.
