Partnerships and Sponsorships info for Committees
Partnerships
The Transport Professionals Association (TPA) works with organisations that share our commitment to advancing the transport profession and supporting the transport community.
Our Partners contribute to TPA in many ways, including financial support, technical expertise, industry insights, content, speakers, venues and event collaboration. Together, we deliver professional development, networking opportunities, thought leadership and industry engagement activities for our members and the wider transport community.
Partnerships play an important role in the sustainability of TPA and help us provide valuable services, programs and events for members across Australia. The support of our Branch Committees is essential to ensuring our Partners have a positive experience and continue to see value in their involvement with TPA.
All partnership activities should align with TPA's Partnerships, Sponsorship and Government Contracts Policy.
National Partnerships
TPA's partnership program is managed by the National Office to ensure a consistent and professional experience for Partners across Australia.
Partnership agreements are tailored to each organisation's objectives and may include event participation, communications opportunities, thought leadership activities, research initiatives and other opportunities to engage with TPA members and the broader transport community.
The Role of Branch Committees and Networks
Branch Committees and Networks play an important role in supporting TPA's Partnerships by:
- Building and maintaining relationships with Partners in their local market.
- Supporting the delivery of partner activities and events.
- Sharing local opportunities and insights that may be relevant to Partners.
- Identifying organisations that may be interested in partnering with TPA.
- Helping create a positive and professional experience for Partners.
The National Office manages partnership agreements, partner benefits and administration, while working closely with Branch Committees and Networks to support successful local engagement.
Partner Events
Many partnership agreements include opportunities for Partners to participate in or support events.
At the commencement of the partnership agreement, Partners nominate the states in which they would like to activate their event opportunities. The National Office will then work with the relevant Branch Committee and Networks to coordinate these activities.
When a Partner event is allocated to your Branch/ Network:
- The National Office will provide details of the agreed partnership inclusion.
- The National Office will introduce the Partner representative to the Branch Committee or Network.
- The Branch Committee or Network and Partner will work together to develop and deliver a successful event.
- The National Office will remain available to assist throughout the process.
This collaborative approach allows Branch Committees and Networks to continue delivering high-quality local events while ensuring partnership commitments are met consistently across TPA.
Event Sponsorships
In addition to national partnerships, Branch Committees and Networks may secure sponsorship for individual events and activities.
Event sponsorships are separate from TPA's national partnership program and relate to a specific event or initiative.
Branch Committees and Networks are encouraged to develop local industry relationships and explore sponsorship opportunities that enhance the member experience and support local activities.
When an organisation wishes to sponsor an event, the National Office will work with the Branch Committee or Network to:
- Confirm sponsorship inclusions and benefits.
- Prepare the sponsorship agreement.
- Coordinate invoicing and administration.
- Provide support throughout the sponsorship process.
This ensures sponsors receive a consistent and professional experience across TPA while allowing volunteers to focus on planning and delivering successful events.
Identifying Prospective Partners
Branch Committees and Networks are often best placed to identify organisations that may benefit from a partnership with TPA.
If you become aware of a potential partnership opportunity, please contact the National Office. We will work with you to explore the opportunity, coordinate discussions and develop an appropriate partnership proposal.
Many of TPA's strongest partnerships begin through relationships developed by our volunteers, and we greatly value the role Branch Committees and Networks play in helping grow TPA's network and industry connections.
